Welcome to St Teresa’s Parish Caritas Group
a part of Caritas Southwark.

Caritas Southwark, an integral part of the world-renowned Caritas Social Action Network (CSAN), serves as an embodiment of love, hope, and service within our community at St Teresa’s Parish. Our mission is deeply rooted in the principles of the Catholic faith, and our unwavering commitment to helping those who are marginalized or in need.

Known as the world’s most extensive social action network, Caritas operates in over 200 countries and territories. We are steadfast in our dedication to provide humanitarian aid, crucial support, as well as foster development and welfare for the most vulnerable. Our work is characterized by a profound recognition of human dignity and the intrinsic worth of every individual – values that form the core of our Catholic faith.

Caritas Southwark was established by Archbishop John Wilson, with the objective of extending the Church’s social action to the South-East of England. Today, we continue to work with tireless dedication to transform lives and communities through love and service, upholding the mission of the Universal Catholic Church.

Our dedicated team of volunteers breathe life into our Catholic mission, embodying the compassion of Christ in their service to every institution and individual we assist. Through their tireless efforts, Caritas offers a lifeline to those grappling with poverty, homelessness, and social exclusion, all the while advocating for justice, peace, and sustainable development in our society.

As we continue to carry forward the vision of CSAN, as established by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, we invite you to join us in our mission.
