Floral Arrangements for weddings

Planning your wedding includes many details, and one such detail that adds beauty, symbolism, and emotion to the occasion is the floral arrangement. Our dedicated church flower ladies are committed to ensuring the most perfect floral settings for your special day. The following is a detailed guide for ordering your church flowers:

Scheduling & Payment

1. Advance Notice: We kindly ask for a minimum of two weeks’ notice prior to the wedding. This allows our flower ladies ample time to order and receive the specific flowers for your arrangements.
2. Payment: Kindly leave your payment for the flowers at the Presbytery a minimum of four weeks before your wedding. Please ensure the money is enclosed in an envelope, clearly addressed for attention of church flower arrangers. To ensure efficient communication and coordination, kindly include the date and time of the wedding, and the names, address, and phone number of the persons being married.

Cost and Floral Options

1. Fluctuating Prices: Please note that the cost of flowers varies with market conditions. If the bride & groom have a preference for exotic, tropical flowers, these may be a bit more expensive due to their unique sourcing and handling needs.
2. Cost Breakdown: The pricing of our floral arrangements varies based on what is requested. Here’s a quick guide:
   • Altar, Ambo, and Pew Ends: £210
   • Pedestal, Altar, and Pew Ends: £300
   • Pedestal, Altar, Ambo, Statues, Two arrangements behind the Font, and Pew Ends: £550

Church Calendar Considerations

Special considerations apply during certain periods of the Church Calendar:

1. Lent: This is the 6-week period preceding Easter, starting from Ash Wednesday.
2. Advent: This is the 4-week period before Christmas Day.

During Lent and Advent, flower arrangements must be approved by our Parish Priest. Please ensure you seek his permission during these periods.
